This project in Pinner is a fantastic example of how our design and build company in London can transform a traditional bungalow into a modern, spacious family home while retaining the original charm and character. Our clients wanted to completely modernise their property while preserving its key features, and we were delighted to bring their vision to life.

The build began with a rear extension, designed to create a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining space. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors connect seamlessly to the garden, while a large pyramid skylight, centrally positioned above the living area, floods the interior with natural light. Porcelain floor tiles flow seamlessly into the patio area, extending the living space outdoors and tying the design together.

Although the property already had a loft conversion, we stripped the home back to its shell and reconfigured the entire layout to accommodate significant structural changes. This allowed us to maximise the functionality of every room. The new layout now features a spacious landing area leading into a playroom, study, and extended living room, thanks to the clever conversion of the original garage.

Throughout the home, premium finishes and bespoke detailing elevate the interiors. Exceptional herringbone wood flooring runs across the ground floor, while a custom-built pine staircase adds both style and function. New alcoves, skirting, and architraves give the home a consistent, refined look, and state-of-the-art media systems—including voice and app-controlled lighting and heating—provide modern convenience.

Completed in just over five months, this rear extension, loft conversion, and refurbishment has completely transformed the property into a functional, stylish, and future-ready home that will serve the family for many years to come.
