This stylish project in Pinner showcases how our design and build company can create a modern, open-plan living space tailored to contemporary family life. The brief was to extend the property at the rear, adding a single storey extension that would feel bright, spacious, and seamlessly connected to the rest of the home.

The new open-plan layout removed walls between the kitchen and living areas, allowing the family to enjoy one large, multifunctional space. Natural light was a priority, so we installed Velux windows and a carefully designed array of lighting features to brighten the extension both by day and at night. From the outside, the glow of the lighting creates a striking visual feature, enhancing the home’s kerb appeal.

Inside, the interior design combines cream and chocolate brown tones for a warm yet contemporary feel. A standout element is the bespoke light fixture positioned above the kitchen island, which adds character and sophistication. The island itself is finished with a smooth, modern surface and designed to tie the colour scheme together while offering a practical central space for cooking, entertaining, or family gatherings.

Rich dark wood flooring complements the design, adding depth and elegance to the open-plan area. Together with the new glazing, bespoke finishes, and thoughtful detailing, the extension has completely transformed the property into a home that feels modern, functional, and welcoming.
