The Market Design & Build was established several years ago after realising there was a gap in the market in terms of building management. There were several key aspects missing, including lack of structure and communication and poor timekeeping. We decided something had to change and that building work no longer needed to be about overpromising and under-delivering.



Builders often have an unfriendly label attached to them and it was our goal to try to break this stigma, by creating an honest communicational structure within the workplace – one that is transparent from start to finish and includes the customer during every step of the process.

With a university degree in Residential Property Surveying and having worked for one of London’s largest property companies for many years, I decided to set up a business which always puts the customer’s needs first.

Our key focuses are on design, service, and execution and I work very closely with the team, always ensuring the best possible finish.

Peter is our principle Architect here at The Market Design & Build. He is a fully chartered Architect with extensive architectural experience from private residential homes to large-scale complex residential new-builds, Grade II-listed buildings, commercial and medical developments. Over the course of his career, he has developed a plethora of skills, which have allowed him to be highly successful in his previous projects working in leading architectural practices in the UK. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in project management, in particular delivering projects from conception to conclusion within strict deadlines.
Nikos Koutsoumalis
Senior Architect
Nikos is our senior architect here at The Market Design & Build. His extensive and diverse experience includes projects in Greece, Lebanon, Egypt, and the UK. His portfolio includes designs for various residential developments, public buildings (museums, cultural centers, and others), commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality and renovation and expansion of listed historical buildings from the 16th century until 1970. His experience covered a broad spectrum of the RIBA stages for each project, from brief and architectural design (stage 2) to the production of technical drawings for the planning application and final construction (stage 4), ensuring excellent results based on the deep knowledge of building regulations and planning restrictions. He has extensive experience in project management and building supervision, ensuring smooth project delivery within agreed deadlines.
James Hughes
Design Team Manager

Architecture BSc

With a background in architecture and customer relations, James has the ability to understand client needs and develop the relationship between our design team, project managers and the end user. He has studied a three year architecture BSc degree course and has years of experience in the customer service industry. This unique combination allows him to quickly and efficiently reassure clients that their projects are handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

James Hockey
Senior Architect
James is our Senior Architect here at The Market Design & Build. He is a fully chartered Architect with extensive architectural experience from bespoke one-off homes, refurbishments, and extensions to large-scale residential new builds. James is also a trained carpenter and joiner, and this training has given him a keen eye for detail that he has transferred to his architecture.
Sami Alizoda
Structural Engineer
Sami had his MSc in structural engineering and BEng in Civil engineering, He has 4 years experiences as Site engineer and cladding manager, and he recently completed the biggest and tallest projected in west London with over 200 flats (Portal West). His experience can help to achieve client’s needs and develop.
Afshana Ali
Architectural Assistant
Afshana Ali Postgraduate, Part II equivalent architect with 3 years of experience in small and large-scale residential and commercial new builds. Her research publications focus on community-oriented urban design and the exploration of parametric design in human experience. She is an active learner and traveler, with lots of patience to hear out what the user of the space/client needs
Bryan Collantes
Architectural Assistant
With a  bachelor’s in architecture from Kingston University, Bryan’s 3 years of academic studies reflected his belief that being a humanist is a student's first responsibility. His experience working with the NHS combined with his introspective nature allows him to generate design ideas that explore the relationship between architecture and people’s well-being.
Ameena Sheikh
Architectural Assistant
M.Arch in Digital Architecture.
 
Ameena Sheikh has successfully completed her M.Arch in Digital Architecture, having invested seven years in academics and three years of work experience, she has good understanding of both academics as well as understanding client needs. Utilizing the achieved knowledge and Disciplined in her work, she has the ability to propose ideas for extensions and designing new projects.

With 3 Year Diploma in Architectural Assistantship from India with experience of 5 years in professional sector. Graduated from University of Middlesex, London in BSc (Hons ) Architectural Technology. With an extensive background in Architecture Mohit has the skill to provide the best solution to any arisen problem or question regarding a project. His previous experience has taught him that the key principle is the smooth running of a project from enquiry to completed design and ultimately client satisfaction. Priya Shah is Graduate Architect with 5 years of design experience and 1 year professional practice experience in India. Over the experience the projects ranged from different scales , different locations and details . I believe that architecture is a team process where mutual respect , fairness and flexibility are key . And quality of design is of equal importance to attentiveness, clear communication and respect.

He has Manage different server’s i.e. Database server, applications servers and web servers. Made new security and disaster recovery plans, Scheduled nightly Backup, implemented new databases, Created many new crystal reports from different databases, also provide support to web applications at user end and information visualization. Tested functional and non functional requirements of new applications before deploying in our organization.

Jawad Sanawar

MSc International Business UK Jawad has developed skills in managing the office and built good intellectual skills throughout the period of over 10 years’ experience. By reading and analysing specific reports, summarising data, and spotting trends, his knowledge aids management in staying informed. He uses this knowledge in his day-to-day tasks, which include fulfilling operational needs, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and delegating and overseeing administrative duties. Overall, he keeps up his professional and technical expertise and consistently supports the team's efforts by completing pertinent tasks as required. He assists in identifying the needs of our developer clients, preparing business and development plans, funding applications, contacting clients for new developments, and assisting customers in marketing their project to investors.

Angad Ghuman

With a BSc Hons in construction Management, Angad a self- driven, disciplined and motivated individual aspiring to succeed and excel to best of his ability. With onsite experience with large companies; collaboratively worked within an integrated project team that consisted of various professional disciplines and key tradesmen. By working with a diversity of team members gained a better understanding of each of their roles, and the importance of timeliness to avoid fall-backs and keep the project up to date. Led, coordinated and followed up on several discussions, which required excellent organization, persistent initiative, and management. Jignesh Bhrambhatt
Project Manager

With 15 years of managerial background, Jignesh specialises in residential projects. Working in collaboration with team of architects, surveyors, engineers and builders, to deliver a unified project management service to a high standard.

Following an agreed schedule of works, monitoring progress and overseeing quality control at each stage to ensure successful delivery of the project from start to finish.

Regular interaction with clients and their representatives, keeping abreast of progress and changing requirements are managed within the scope of the project. To minimise risk of potential challenges through effective planning, utilising resources effectively and providing innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Vikas Ghuman
Project Manager

An effective communicator who quickly gains the trust, confidence and respect of the construction team, condominium board representatives, project managers, sub-contractors, clients, stakeholders, internal staff, multiple employees and others to ultimately resolve conflicts, overcome scheduling delays, and salvage relationships. Construction Manager who is able to oversee and direct construction projects from conception right through to completion.

Vikasbir comes as an experienced commercial FRC manager (formwork, reinforced steel and concrete) who has in the past been in charge of major building projects. In addition to this, he has extensive knowledge of the policies, procedures and regulations relating to building construction. The ability to coordinate trades, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with architects, engineers, vendors, and local officials to ensure the timely and budget-friendly completion of a project.

Khidar Ahmed, CAPM®
Project Manager

MSc (Eng.) International Construction Management and Engineering
Khidar is a Project Manager, who obtained his civil engineering degree from one of the most premier institutions in India, College of Engineering Pune and further obtained a master’s degree in International Construction Management and Engineering from University of Leeds. He is a professional with an eye for detail who thrives under pressure in a time-bound environment. He has worked on a wide range of high-volume projects in the UAE, and is skilled in Site Execution, Site Planning, Site Management and Human resource management. He also holds certification for Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) from Project Management Institute - USA and is working towards his PMP certification along with his APM chartership.

Jatin Arora
Project Manager

MSc (Eng.) International Construction Management and Engineering
He holds a master's degree in international construction management and engineering from the University of Leeds. He received a white Academic Qualified Person (white) card from the Construction Skill Certificate Scheme (CSCS), one of the leading organisations in the UK's construction sector. In addition, he received Site Safety Supervision Training Scheme (SSSTS) accreditation from CITB. He understands CDM laws and has five years of significant work experience in the construction business. Being an experienced project management professional, he honed his skills in client management, creating execution plans, managing stakeholders, putting risk mitigation strategies into place, allocating resources, ensuring proper planning and carrying out work as planned, and monitoring project progress

Justin Palmer
Land & development negotiator
Justin Palmer is our land buyer which he is responsible for helping the business and individuals to purchase land that is suitable for construction. As a land buyer, he can identify suitable sites for building projects, determine whether planning permission is required and establish whether there will be any constraints on what can be built.
